Installation Guide

Follow these steps to install the extension. It only takes a minute.

1
Download the Extension
Click the button above to download the Browzer extension as a ZIP file. Save it in Downloads or somewhere you can easily find it.
2
Unzip the File
Find the downloaded ZIP file and unzip it. On Mac, double-click the file. On Windows, right-click and select "Extract All". Keep this folder in a permanent location — do not delete it after installing.
Tip: We recommend saving the unzipped folder in a location like your Documents folder. Chrome needs this folder to stay in place.
3
Open Chrome Extensions Page
Open Google Chrome and type chrome://extensions in the address bar, then press Enter.
4
Enable Developer Mode
In the top-right corner of the extensions page, you'll see a toggle labeled "Developer mode". Click it to turn it on.
5
Load the Extension
Click the "Load unpacked" button that appears in the top-left. In the file picker, navigate to the unzipped folder and select the chrome-mv3 folder inside it. Click "Select" or "Open".
6
Pin the Extension
Click the puzzle piece icon in Chrome's toolbar (top-right), find "Browzer" in the list, and click the pin icon next to it. The Browzer icon will now always be visible in your toolbar.
Verify Your Installation
After completing all the steps above, click the button below to check if the extension is properly connected.

Troubleshooting

Extension not detected after installing?

  • Make sure you selected the chrome-mv3 folder (not the outer ZIP or parent folder).
  • Refresh this page and click "Check Connection" again.
  • Check that the extension is enabled on chrome://extensions.

Getting a "Load unpacked" error?

  • Make sure you unzipped the file first — Chrome cannot load a ZIP file directly.
  • Ensure the folder contains a manifest.json file.

Do I need to keep the folder?

Yes. Chrome loads the extension directly from the folder on your computer. If you move or delete it, the extension will stop working. You can re-load it by pointing Chrome to the new location.

Will I lose my data when the Chrome Web Store version is available?

No. Your recordings and automation data are synced with your Browzer account. When the official extension is published, simply remove the manually installed version and install from the Chrome Web Store — everything will carry over.

Supported Browsers
The extension works on all Chromium-based browsers.
Google Chrome
Brave
Microsoft Edge
Arc
