# Create Composio API Key

Create a new API key in Composio to authenticate your applications and integrations. This key grants programmatic access to Composio's toolkits and services and must be securely stored for use in your application code.

## Steps

2. Click "API Keys" menuitem
3. Click "Create API Key" button
4. Type into "Name" textbox
5. Click "Create" button
6. Click "Copy API key" button
7. Click "I Copied It" button
8. Type into "Name" textbox
