# Create Scoped Supermemory API Key

Create a scoped API key in Supermemory console that limits API access to specific tags and actions. Scoped keys provide fine-grained permission control, making them ideal for production deployments where you want to restrict what each integration can access.

## Steps

1. Click "API Keys" link
2. Click "CREATE KEY" button
3. Click "Key Name" textbox
4. Type into "Key Name" textbox
5. Click "API Keys No API keys yet Create your first API key to start using the Supermemory API programmatically. CREATE KEY Create New API Key Choose which actions this API key will be authorized to perform. KEY NAME EXPIRES 1 Year PERMISSIONS Full Access Sco" generic
6. Click "Scoped" tab
7. Click "Select or create a tag" textbox

9. Type into "Select or create a tag" textbox
10. Click "CREATE" button
11. Click "Copy" button
12. Click "COPY & CLOSE" button
