Invite Member to Org

Overview

Browserbase organizations require careful management of team membership and access control. By inviting members with appropriate roles, you enable your team to collaborate securely while maintaining administrative oversight. Admin-level members can invite other users, assign project access, and manage organizational settings — making this a critical step for expanding your team's capabilities. This workflow grants the invited member admin access to all current and future projects within your organization.

Before you begin

  • You must be logged into Browserbase with an account that has organization owner or admin privileges
  • You must have access to the organization's team management settings
  • You must have the email address of the person you wish to invite
  • The person you are inviting must not already be a member of the organization

Step by step

1
ClickInvite members

Navigate to the team management section of your Browserbase organization by clicking the 'Invite members' button. This opens the invitation dialog where you can add new team members.

Tip. This button is typically located in the organization settings or Teams tab. If you don't see it, ensure you have admin-level access to the organization.

2
Typeemail@example.com

Enter the email address of the person you wish to invite in the text field. This email will receive the invitation link and must be unique within your organization.

Tip. Double-check the email address for typos, as invitations are sent to the exact address entered.

ClickAll projects Access to current and future projects

View the project access options by clicking on the 'All projects' option, which grants automatic access to current and all future projects within the organization.

ClickAll projectsAccess to current and future projects

Confirm access to all projects by clicking the checkbox next to 'All projects Access to current and future projects.' This enables the member to work with every project in your organization immediately upon acceptance.

Tip. If you prefer to assign projects individually, leave this unchecked and select specific projects instead.
Step 5
6
ClickViewer

Click the role dropdown (currently showing 'Viewer') to open the list of available roles and their permissions.

Tip. Each role grants different permissions: Viewer has read-only access, while Admin has full control over team management and project settings.
Step 6
7
ClickAdmin Invite, assign, and control project access for everyone.

Select 'Admin' from the role menu to grant the invited member full administrative privileges, including the ability to invite other members, assign project access, and control organizational settings.

Tip. Admin is the highest privilege level in Browserbase. Reserve this role for trusted team members who need to manage the organization.
