Overview

ProjectX is a comprehensive system platform that provides customizable interface layouts to suit different user workflows and preferences. The dock — a quick-access navigation element — is configurable within the system settings. By moving the dock to the left side, you can optimize your workspace layout, reduce horizontal screen clutter, and align the interface with your preferred working style. This setting persists across sessions and applies system-wide within your ProjectX instance.

Before you begin

  • Active ProjectX account with access to infinity.projectx.cloud
  • User role with permissions to modify system settings (typically Administrator or equivalent)
  • Current session logged in to ProjectX Dashboard

Step by step

Click your user profile button (labeled with your username, such as 'rahulkumaran') in the top navigation or menu to access account-related options.

Tip. Your profile button is typically located in the upper-right corner of the interface. This action may open a dropdown menu with additional account options.

Select the 'Dashboard' button to navigate to your main ProjectX workspace and access system configuration options.

Tip. The Dashboard button typically appears in the main navigation or within a menu that opened after step 1. This is your central hub for workspace management.

Click the 'System' button to open the system settings panel where interface and layout preferences are configured.

Tip. System settings may appear as a dedicated menu item, gear icon, or settings option in the Dashboard navigation. Look for it in the sidebar or settings menu.

Click the 'Left' button to select the left-side position for your dock within the system layout options.

Tip. The position options (Left, Center, Right, etc.) are typically displayed as buttons or a radio-button group in the dock positioning section. Clicking 'Left' selects this layout.

Click the final confirmation button (typically labeled 'Save,' 'Apply,' or 'Confirm') to save the dock position change and apply it to your ProjectX interface.

Tip. This final button is crucial — without it, your changes may not be persisted. Look for a button at the bottom of the System settings panel or near the position selection options.
Warning. If you do not click this confirmation button, your dock position preference will not be saved and will revert to the default on your next session.

Confirm it worked

  1. 1The dock appears positioned on the left edge of the ProjectX interface after the final confirmation
  2. 2The setting is saved (indicated by a confirmation message or the interface reflecting the change without error)
