Lead Request - Advanced Settings

Overview

LeadPoet's advanced settings allow you to refine lead generation campaigns with precision targeting parameters. By setting a maximum lead cap, selecting specific geographic regions, and filtering by company size, you reduce wasted outreach on unqualified prospects and improve your sales team's conversion rates. This workflow is essential when launching a new campaign or adjusting an existing one to match your ideal customer profile—particularly when targeting mid-market companies in specific regions.

Before you begin

  • Access to a LeadPoet account with campaign creation or editing permissions
  • An active lead generation campaign in draft or editable state
  • Knowledge of your target maximum lead volume for this campaign
  • Clarity on your ideal customer profile, including target company size (50–500 employees in this example)

Step by step

1
ClickMax leads *

Click on the 'Max leads' text field to activate it for input. This field controls the maximum number of leads your campaign will request, preventing over-allocation of resources.

Tip. The asterisk (*) next to 'Max leads' indicates this is a required field—you must enter a value before saving the campaign.
Step 1
2
TypeMax leads *

Type your desired maximum lead volume into the 'Max leads' field. This number represents the upper limit of prospects LeadPoet will source for your campaign.

Tip. Consider your sales team's capacity and follow-up bandwidth when setting this number. A common starting point is 100–500 leads per month depending on your sales cycle.
3
ClickCountry

Click on the 'Country' dropdown (combobox) to expand the list of available countries. This allows you to geographically target your lead request.

Tip. The dropdown includes a search field. If you know your target country, you can start typing to filter the list rather than scrolling.
Step 3
4
TypeSearch…

Type 'India' in the search field to filter the country list and locate India quickly.

Tip. As you type, the list will narrow. You only need to type enough to see India appear (e.g., 'Ind').
5
ClickIndia

Click on 'India' in the dropdown options to select it as your target country. This confirms your geographic focus at the country level.

Step 5
6
ClickState

Click on the 'State' dropdown to expand the list of states within India. Selecting a state narrows your target territory further.

Tip. State options only appear after you have successfully selected a country. If the State field is grayed out or empty, verify that India is selected in the Country field.
Step 6
7
TypeSearch…

Type 'Telangana' in the search field to filter the state list and quickly locate Telangana.

Tip. Telangana is one of India's largest tech hubs. If your campaign targets IT or software companies, this state offers high-quality prospects.
8
ClickTelangana

Click on 'Telangana' in the dropdown options to select it as your target state.

Step 8
9
ClickCity

Click on the 'City' dropdown to expand the list of cities within Telangana. Selecting a city provides the most granular geographic targeting.

Tip. City-level filtering ensures your leads are concentrated in your preferred business hub, which can improve relevance and response rates.
Step 9
10
TypeSearch…

Type 'Hyderabad' in the search field to filter the city list and locate Hyderabad.

Tip. Hyderabad is Telangana's capital and a major IT and startup center, making it an attractive target for B2B outreach in tech sectors.
11
ClickHyderabad

Click on 'Hyderabad' in the dropdown options to select it as your target city. This completes your geographic targeting from country → state → city.

Step 11
12
Click50–200 employees

Click on the '50–200 employees' button to select companies in this size range. This filter ensures your leads come from mid-market organizations with the resources to purchase your solution.

Tip. When filtering by company size, you may need to select multiple ranges to capture your full target audience. The '50–200 employees' bracket is ideal for SMBs with established decision-making structures.
Step 12
13
Click200–500 employees

Click on the '200–500 employees' button to also select companies in this size range. Together with the previous step, this extends your target to include all companies between 50–500 employees.

Tip. Selecting both buttons creates a continuous filter from 50–500 employees. Look for a visual indicator (highlight or checkmark) on each button confirming selection. Verify in the campaign preview that your lead estimate reflects this broader company size range.
Step 13
